Obama to reverse U.S. abortion policy

In a move that will be welcomed by liberals and criticized by abortion rights foes, President Barack Obama plans to sign an executive order ending the ban on federal funds for international groups that promote or perform abortions.

The policy bans U.S. taxpayer money, usually in the form of U.S. Agency for International Development funds, from going to international family planning groups that either offer abortions or provide information, counseling or referrals about abortion. It is also known as the "global gag rule," because it prohibits taxpayer funding for groups that even talk about abortion if there is an unplanned pregnancy.
Also known as the "Mexico City policy," it has been reinstated and then reversed by Republican and Democratic presidents since GOP President Ronald Reagan established it in 1984. President Bill Clinton ended the ban in 1993, but President George W. Bush re-instituted it in 2001 as one of his first acts in office.

This is consistent with Obama's reputation as being the most pro-abortion presidential candidate ever - now surely to be the most pro-abortion president ever.

The Council on American-Islamic Relations, or CAIR, says its aim is "to enhance the understanding of Islam, encourage dialogue, protect civil liberties, empower American Muslims and build coalitions that promote justice and mutual understanding."
Maybe so, but federal prosecutors have also named the group an "unindicted co-conspirator" in a plot to fund the terrorist group Hamas, several of CAIR's leaders have been convicted on terror charges since 9/11, and one of its founders has reportedly declared that America should be governed by Islamic sharia law.......

26 November 2007: Today, the Washington Times is reporting that "Fort Huachuca, the nation's largest intelligence-training center, changed security measures in May after being warned that Islamist terrorists, with the aid of Mexican drug cartels, were planning an attack on the facility." In an interesting near-convergence of events, the Northeast Intelligence Network warned of an increased risk of an attack on military bases in the Southwestern United States on March 1, a full two-(2) months before security measures were ramped up at the installation.

The warning made public by the Northeast Intelligence Network stemmed from the seizure of a tractor-trailer registered in Texas containing an unprecedented shipment of weapons, ammunition and armored vehicles. At the time of the seizure, authorities and numerous counter-terrorism analysts claimed the weapons were destined for use by warring drug cartels in Mexico and emphatically denied that they were intended to be used against assets inside the U.S. more @ Northeast Intelligence Network

One might be led to think that if international law enforcement authorities and Western intelligence agencies had discovered a twenty-year old document revealing a top-secret plan developed by the oldest Islamist organization with one of the most extensive terror networks in the world to launch a program of “cultural invasion” and eventual conquest of the West that virtually mirrors the tactics used by Islamists for more than two decades, that such news would scream from headlines published on the front pages and above the fold of the New York Times, Washington Post, London Times, Le Monde, Bild, and La Repubblica.
If that’s what you might think, you would be wrong.

An Iraqi couple's children watched as their parents were beheaded by their three cousins, who are suspected Al Qaeda militants, according to a Reuters report.

The cousins told police their uncle was an infidel because he wore western-style trousers and did not pray, Reuters is reporting.

The three, including two sisters, carried out the execution at an all-boys school in Jalawlah in Diyala province, the news agency is reporting.

LODI PARENTS SAY TEXTBOOK EMPHASIZES ISLAM

LODI (AP) -- Parents at a Lodi elementary school are complaining about a history textbook they say pays a disproportionate amount of attention to the teachings of Islam.
The seventh-grade book has three chapters about the Islamic faith. It mentions Jesus twice and devotes a paragraph to other major religions, said Jim and Korina Self.
The couple is collecting signatures on a petition they plan to present to the local school board.
"History Alive!: The Medieval World and Beyond" also drew protests in an Arizona school district. It was withdrawn by the publisher before the end of a trial period there.
Lodi school officials and the publisher say the text was approved by the California State Board of Education.

Investor’s Business Daily hits another one out of the park, with an editorial about the disturbing revelations that have come out of the Holy Land Foundation Hamas funding trial: The Islamist Head Fake.

When dealing with Muslim leaders, Washington should borrow a page from Ronald Reagan’s Soviet playbook: Trust, but verify. Many aim to deceive us, court evidence shows.

It’s now believed that several leaders of the Muslim establishment in America last decade conspired to infiltrate the U.S. political system, change Middle East policy and gradually Islamize America. At the same time, they hatched a plot to fund overseas terrorists.

Of course, they couldn’t do this out in the open. So they set up benign-sounding nonprofits and charities to “camouflage” their traitorous activities, say U.S. prosecutors who cite wiretap transcripts and other documents uncovered in a criminal probe of the Holy Land Foundation, the largest Muslim charity in America.......

But what Muslim leaders tell us and what they tell Muslim audiences are often two entirely different things. The deception is astonishing. They’ve really played us for suckers.

Dhimmitude is the status that Islamic law, the Sharia, mandates for non-Muslims, primarily Jews and Christians. Dhimmis, "protected people," are free to practice their religion in a Sharia regime, but are made subject to a number of humiliating regulations designed to enforce the Qur'an's command that they "feel themselves subdued" (Sura 9:29). The Dhimmi is the Arabic term that refers to its non-Islamic embracing population that has the ignominious dishonor of living in Islamic conquered lands. In a similar manner to the Jewish reference to a non-Jew as being a goy, so too the term dhimmi refers to non-Muslims. However unlike the Jewish term, goy, and much more important, the dhimmi is a distinctly subjugated second class non-citizen almost slave who is subjected to dictatorial deprivation of any legal and human rights since he is a non-Muslim permanent resident in a Muslim state.

There is a war waging all across our globe right now which affects all of us, whether we realize it or not. This war is not being fought with bullets or tanks, but words. What I speak of is the war between socially-objectionable ideas clashing against religious sensitivities. The sad reality is that our leaders got it all wrong.

We are not at war with terror, terrorists or some mysterious extremists. We are at war with Islam.
